Day 7 – How To Connect Correctly – Part 1

Step 1 of the 3 Step Syndication System is Connect. Because you’ve already taken the phase 1 trainings, you know why it’s so IMPORTANT to connect correctly with other members of the TSA.

In this training I’m going to explain how to connect the right way with other members of TSA to help form those relationships which will last a lifetime.

Tomorrow I’ll show you exactly how to connect on each of the social networks…

In the basic 3 step system, all you HAVE to do is connect with each member in your group for the week, in just one place. That is the MINIMUM requirement.

Because TSA is a fantastic place to create relationships, you’ll want to connect with people in as many places as possible. This will help build the relationships and will also give you more syndication counters to add to the spreadsheet.

Where to Connect With Other Members

  • On their Blog
  • Subscribe to your tribe members RSS feed to see when that person updates their blog post
  • Google friend connect  (This may be on the persons blog)
  • Make friends with your tribe member on Facebook (Part 2 Training)
  • Like your tribe members Facebook Like page (Part 2 Training)
  • Follow them on Twitter (Part 2 Training)
  • Subscribe to their Youtube.com channel (Part 2 Training)
  • Connect with them on LinkedIn (Part 2 Training)
  • Make friends with them on Skype (Part 2 Training)

A HUGE TIP – If you connect with your fellow TSA tribe members at the START of the syndication week, then when you share their content (especially on Facebook), they will have accepted you and you can tag them in the share which helps them gain more social proof.

(When you make friends with TSA members on Facebook, make sure you add your new friends to a TSA list as it makes it much easier to find them later. I created a post about how to create lists on Facebook over on the blog)

ALWAYS introduce yourself when you request a new friendship. Say you are from TSA and ask the person a couple of questions to engage in dialogue. Get to know the person and see if you can set up a mutually beneficial relationship with them to share each others content each week as an extra to the 3 step syndication system.

You could say something like:

Hi Ylva,

It’s Gavin Mountford here from TSA. I just wanted to connect with you here on Facebook and get to know more about you.

I’d love to connect with you on the phone if possible, what time and date works best to chat?

Many Thanks

Gavin

Think of this as building great long term, life long relationships… take your time, make friends with everybody in as many places as possible, but a MINIMUM, connect with the person in AT LEAST 1 place.

Requirements for Connecting

To follow the 3 Step Syndication System effectively, you need to connect with EVERYBODY in your group for the week.

Each time you connect with a member in a specific location, you can add that as 1 syndication counter point.

As a minimum, aim to connect with all your group in AT LEAST one (1) location, ie. make friends on Facebook, like fan page, follow on Twitter, Add and connect on Skype, subscribe to RSS feed, join Google Friend Connect etc…

So, that’s it for the how to connect correctly training today. Make sure you look out for tomorrow’s training when I’ll go into more detail with videos to show you exactly how to do it, and as always drop us a comment below with your feedback and questions.
